Our amazing Builders Club students have been hard at work creating homemade cat toys and dog treats as part of a fundraiser for animal welfare in honor of our beloved Lois Wagner. They’ve already raised over $300, and sales will continue tomorrow during conferences! Donations are also welcome—thank you for your support!

Our students have been having a lot of fun in the Early Learning Center. They thoroughly enjoyed painting pumpkins, singing songs with Dr. Gibbon, and spending time in the gym, including the climbing wall! What a great place to be!

Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day! Today, we celebrate the culture, history, and contributions of Native peoples across the country, and we especially want to honor the Skokomish Tribe, whose land our school is on. We’re grateful for their partnership and all they bring to our community. Let’s take a moment to learn, reflect, and appreciate the Indigenous communities that have been here long before us and continue to inspire us today. #IndigenousPeoplesDay #SkokomishTribe #HonoringTraditions

📅 The Care-a-Van mobile immunization crew is coming to Hood Canal School on Wednesday, November 13th, from 12-4pm!
Our nurse, Lindsey Allwine, will be on-site to help coordinate and make sure everything runs smoothly. This is a great opportunity for the 10% of our students who are currently out of compliance with state-mandated vaccines to get caught up easily, with free immunizations available.
Let’s make sure all our students are ready for a healthy school year! 🎒💉

Kindergarteners in Mr. Max’s art class got some hands-on experience with pumpkins seeds. Their reactions were precious! The students also guessed how many seeds were in a handful and got to count them. They later sampled roasted pumpkin seeds, which proved to be a big hit! #pumpkinseason #handsonlearning #PumpkinSeeds

Our Orca Girls JV and Varsity Volleyball teams both did a great job taking on McCleary. We are proud of you! Keep up the terrific work! #volleyball #bumpsetspike #SchoolSports #GoOrcas

Here are some terrific moments from our recent BOOTS outdoor education program trip to Mt. Elinor. It was a great experience with lots of challenge and lots of laughter. Seeing students achieve something they didn't believe possible is the best part. They will be carrying that with them forward not just in thinking about the outdoors, but about academic and life experiences as well. #outdooreducation #hikingadventures Mt.
