Title I at Hood Canal School District
At Hood Canal School District, we are proud to be a School-Wide Title I school. This designation means that we receive federal funding to provide additional support and resources to help all our students succeed academically. An essential part of our commitment to student success is the active involvement of parents and guardians in the learning process.
Parental Involvement
We believe that parental involvement is key to fostering a positive and effective learning environment. This means regular, two-way, and meaningful communication between parents and the school regarding student academic progress and other school activities. We encourage you to take an active role in your child's education and explore the many ways you can support their success.
How You Can Help Your Student Succeed

Participate in School Events: Attend parent-teacher conferences, school meetings, and other events.
Volunteer: Offer your time and skills to support classroom activities, school programs, and events.
Support Learning at Home: Create a positive learning environment at home and assist with homework and projects.

School Improvement Plan
At Hood Canal School, we are committed to creating an environment where every student can thrive. Our School Improvement Plan reflects this by focusing on key areas such as academic achievement, attendance, student engagement, and improving teaching practices. Through intentional efforts, staff collaboration, and community involvement, we work to support the growth of all students. By aligning our efforts with state and district goals, we make sure the path forward prioritizes great teaching, keeps students at the center, and ensures continuous improvement.
Title I Parents/Guardians Right to Know
As a Title I school, parents and guardians have the right to know about the qualifications of their child's teachers, the curriculum being taught, and how the school is performing academically. We are committed to transparency and ensuring that you have the information you need to support your child's education.
