In our summer school STEAM class, students are applying engineering and design concepts as they create their own full scale vehicles and play structures. They constructed bridges to see whose bridge will hold the most weight and then built these lifesize projects that, as you can see, the kids loved using and playing with after they made them. Terrific learning in action! #handsonlearning #kidsactivities #engineering

Students in Ms. Gouley’s 5th grade wrapped up the year by reading the book, “Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes.” As they were reading, they set a goal to actually fold 1,000 paper cranes AND succeeded after folding their 1,000th paper crane the last week of school. The results were stunning and the activity truly bonded the class. The cranes were all sizes including a jumbo crane made by combining multiple pieces a paper.
