The Hood Canal School District is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from experienced and qualified firms to support upcoming capital projects made possible through our recently approved capital levy. These projects include the development of a new Transportation Cooperative Facility, the construction of a new addition, and partial renovations to our existing K-8 school building.

Professional Consulting Services in Support of Hood Canal School District
The Hood Canal School District is requesting qualifications for professional services from interested firms for various capital levy fund projects throughout the district including a new Transportation Cooperative Facility, a new addition and a partial remodel of the existing K-8 building. Qualification information should be submitted on or before 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 11th, 2025.
Interested firms with recent experience in the following disciplines are requested to submit qualifications, separately or together:
Construction/Project Management Services
Archeological/Cultural Survey Services
Geotechnical Engineering
Wetland Delineation –Preliminary wetland assessment and delineation survey
Traffic Engineering/Analysis
Environmental/Hazardous Material Consulting
IBC Special Inspections and Testing
In order to be considered, interested firms should submit their qualifications statement addressing the following:
Firm background and qualifications.
Experience with public school districts.
Public school references with names and phone numbers of contacts.
Resumes of key individuals providing service, including project-specific information.
Availability to immediately commence work.
All qualified individuals and firms, including minority and women-owned firms, who are lawfully engaged in the practice of architecture and/or engineering under Chapter 18 of the RCW are encouraged to apply. Professional firms and individuals interested in providing services as described above to the Hood Canal School District must do the following:
The qualifications package shall be sent to the Hood Canal School District in PDF electronic format via email only and shall be limited to one, single-page cover letter and a maximum of ten (10), one-sided, or five (5) double-sided 8.5” x 11” pages for each discipline as listed above.
Hood Canal School District will review and select the most qualified firm with which to negotiate a mutually agreeable fee for the anticipated scope of work based on project requirements. The District may call upon qualified firms throughout the capital program as needed.
