8Summer Update:

School Office to be Closed During Summer - Cost Savings

Our school office will be closed this summer in an effort to help reduce district expenditures. The office will reopen on August 25th.
Should you need assistance, you can contact me at 877-5463 extension 202 or contact our business manager, Scott Blomberg at 877-5463 extension 204.

Due to significant cuts in revenue from the state for the 2009-2011 biennium, we will continue to look at ways to reduce expenditures. If you have cost-saving ideas, please contact me via e-mail at tchurchill@hoodcanal.wednet.edu. We are looking for creative ways to help our district live within our means while providing an excellent learning opportunity and safe learning environment for our students.

Have a great summer and remember to read and do math activities/games often with your children.

Kindergarten Rodeo
Ms. Thomas's class had a romping good time last Thursday at their kindergarten rodeo. Lots of people (and horses) were on hand to make it a fabulous success. Each student received their very own, personalized stick pony. There were barrel races, a roping competition, square dancing and thanks to busdriver Elaine, real pony rides. A chuckwagon lunch was served too under the appreciative eye of Sheriff Churchill.
