Welcome to The BOOTS Program Homepage!

BOOTS is an experiential educational program at Hood Canal School for our Junior High students.  The purpose of Boots is to guide students through a progressive sequence of challenging initiatives to help build self-confidence and to increase self-esteem.
               Program goals:
  1. increase attendance
  2. educational achievement
  3. reduce discipline referrals
Those goals are achieved through the following Curriculum Components:
  • Experiential education
  • Adventure-based education
  • Wilderness experiences
  • Community Service Projects
  • Vocational modules
  • High School mentorship
