Hood Canal School is always looking for volunteers!!! 

We have many areas of need:

*Playground Supervision

*Classroom assistant

*Nurses Office Helper

*Many other areas of need………

ABSENCES:

Please communicate with the school about your child’s absence (360-877-5463), Please call and excuse your child’s absence within 48 hours, their record will show as an “unexcused absence” for that day if you neglect to call. Unexcused absences may affect the child’s learning ability, grade’s, and may further result in truancy.  Regular attendance and being here on time is extremely important to your child’s learning.

Playground:

Playground duties are out at 8:25 am for your child’s safety.  Please be aware that if your child is dropped off before that time, there are no staff there to supervise your child.

School Closures & Delays:

School Messenger will notify you in case of an emergency closure, late start, early release or even a lock down.  In the event there is a power outage, we suggest you listen to your local radio/news station or click on the link below for Flash News.
